Have some question that might already been asked? Look at our Frequently Asked Questions
Question: Can I rent for a short period? What is the minimum period?
Answer: the prices of EasyLifeinBrussels.be are established on the basis of 1 year journeys, most of the apartments and studios are allowed for 6 months, some smaller studios for 3 months. There is an uplift for shorter periods because (1) the in and out costs have to be covered by fewer months of rent and (2) if the ending month is in a lower activity period, several months of revenu will be lost. You can use the calculator on each page to get the monthly rent of each appartment.
Question: Is there no exception to the rule above?
Answer: The site will refuse shorter periods than defined, but feel free to contact us at and explain your request. We will try to help you as best as possible. An appropriated uplift will be proposed.
Question: What is the total rent?
Answer: You can calculate the total rent in function of the duration of your stay in the site. The total amount you have to pay is Rent + Flat Fee + Provision.
Question: What is the Flat Fee covering?
Answer: The flat fee covers a large number of required services: Insurance (very important), weekly cleaning of your private space and the common space, the internet connection and support, taxes, technical interventions when needed and more.
Question: What is the provision?
Answer: The provision covers your portion of the consumption of heating ,water and electricity. At your departure an expert will calculate your exact consumption. If the provision was more than covering your consumption money will be reimbursed. If you consumed more, a supplement will have to be paid.
Question: What is a CIBEX expert?
Answer: At the beginning of your contract an expert designated by the CIBEX organisation (Chambre des Experts Immobiliers de Belgique) will make up a report about the state of your apartment, he will do the same at the end of your stay. The CIBEX expert is neutral, it is not required to be present when he performs his expertise. He will also calculate the consumptions and determine the costs.
